The Speedmaster was the specialist moon landing. At the time, the competition for the moon landing was also Rolex and Longines. OMEGA is extremely resistant to magnetism, preventing 15,000 gauss, and is see-through, so you can always get a glimpse of the movement. Quite a feat. The calibre 8500 is also legendary.
